Yup, it has happened – Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is known for his fantastic performances in off-beat films, has just signed on his first major, mainstream masala flick. The actor has agreed to do Sajid Nadiadwala‘s Kick, which of course means that he will be sharing screen space with none other than Salman Khan. Quite the combination. There’s not much we know about what kind of role he’ll be playing, but either way, I can’t wait to see Nawazuddin in a full-blown masala movie.
This comes soon after the news that the actor has also signed on a film with Kapil Sharma (of Comedy Nights fame), which is to be made by Rajiv Dhingra, who has previously directed television comedy shows. This one’s going to be an out-and-out comedy film, with Nawazuddin playing one of the main leads. Kapil and Sunil Grover (Gutthi) are supposed to play the other two, but considering there’s apparently drama brewing behind-the-scenes due to Gutthi’s exit from the show, we wonder how their film will shape up.
In any case, Nawazuddin seems to be doing very well for himself yet again, and we’re looking forward to watching both these projects on the big screen! Are you?
