The ongoing India Bridal Week saw the stunningly gorgeous actress, Chitrangda Singh, walk the ramp as a celebrity showstopper for Azva Jewels.

She was tastefully bedecked in gold from head to toe – literally – and wore an interesting bridal ensemble by Tarun Tahiliani from his Kumbhback collection, which is inspired by the Kumbh Mela.

Team MissMalini caught up with the dusky star for an exclusive, one-on-one chat after the show and here’s what she told us:

Team MissMalini: Tell us about the look you’re sporting for Azva at India Bridal Week, tonight?

Chitrangda Singh: I think this look is completely different from anything I’ve done before. I don’t think I’ve ever done the head-piece or worn gold on me, like this. We’ve done the bridal look with a twist – with a belt. The most beautiful part are the anklets which have been especially designed by Tarun Tahiliani.

Team MM: What do you think of when you’re on the ramp?

CS: Before I enter onto the ramp, I think that I don’t have to walk all the way up to the head ramp and that I need to stop short of it so that the light falls right on you. And then you have to make that one turn and then come and stand right exactly where you can make the best pose…and you think of all of this just before you step on.

But once you step on the ramp, its a blank. Nothing goes on in your mind. That happens to me every time.

Team MM: Who designed your own wedding outfit?

CS: Ritu Kumar – the clothes that I wore were done by her. For my makeup, I had a makeup person to help me and I did some of it on my own. The rest is a bit of a blur. As much of a planner as I am – and I had to-do lists and everything – but yeah, it was a nervous day.

Team MM: Since the jewelry line you modeled for, has been inspired by seven wedding vows, what vows would you take for yourself?

CS: I think to stay passionate! I hope I remain passionate about whatever I do. I hope I remain always inspired in my life. I think inspiration is a blessing. To always be working. To always be constructive and creative and do something. To be able to love and be loved – I think that’s very very important. A good bank balance too because shopping is really important too.

Team MM: Are you currently working on any films?

Not at the moment. I should be starting a film in January 2014.

Team MM: Any message for your fans?

CS: I want to say thank you to all the fans for being there, for liking my work, for acknowledging me as actor. Stay blessed. Have fun.
