Kayoze Irani made his breakout last year with Student of the Year, and while he didn’t play any of the “leads” per se, he still made his mark. Since then, he’s been up to quite a bit – not only has he been signing on films, but the actor has gotten back behind the camera as well. He had first started out as the assistant director on Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, and now he’s even directed his dad, Boman Irani, in ad films. MissMalini caught up with him recently for a Twitter interview, where she spoke to him about everything from doing romantic films, to his upcoming project, to the best advice he received from his father. Oh, and – Alia Bhatt sent in a question as well; how cute! 🙂 Love that the whole bunch of them still seem to be quite tight.

*lol* Epic PJ. When we had a coffee date with Imran Khan recently, we asked him as well what his favourite PJ was and it’s actually pretty funny. I mean, as funny as PJs can get. So keep an eye out for that one because it’s actually kind of smart. And, well… smart PJs, who would have thought? 🙂
I’m looking forward to Kayoze’s next film but I have a feeling this guy will probably end up behind the camera more often than in front of it, since he does say that directing is his true passion and he’d never really considered acting. Student of the Year was the first offer he ever got, after all – and now I really am curious how he ended up getting convinced to do the film, since he was initially hesitant about it. But I do think it probably opened up a lot of avenues for him, so good for him!
