Katrina Kaif in Dhoom 3
Katrina Kaif in Dhoom 3

I remember when Tata Young‘s English version of Dhoom Machale Dhoom first released back in 2004, it was a huge hit amongst the audience. Perhaps trying a similar tactic before the release of Dhoom: 3, the makers have roped in Arabic singer Naya to sing an Arabic version of the film’s title track.

In fact, Dhoom Machale Dhoom is the only song for which they have released the extended promo – for all the other songs in the film, the makers have only given audiences quick, 30 second glimpses into what they will look like. But Dhoom Machale Dhoom being what it is – a track that’s slightly reinvented with each new film in the franchise – we guess they felt the need to release the full version, so as to have that connect with the audience.

Check out Naya’s Dhoom Machale Dhoom and let us know what you think. I think she has done a fairly good job and it’s of course a catchy track, although I do still prefer Tata Young’s English version. That, however, is probably because I can actually understand the lyrics that she’s singing!

What do you think?

Psst! Did you know? Naya broke into the scene back in 2008, with a recording contract with Melody Music. Her first single was called Batmanna, which was well-received. Unfortunately, soon after, the singer had some disputes with her manager, which caused her to stop working and even disappear for a little while. She came back into the scene in 2011, though, she released a new Khaliji song called Ghira, which again received good feedback from the audiences. It was only in 2012, though, after signing on a new label, that Naya released her first full album called Mandam. The album has nine songs, and comprises of Egyptian, Khaliji and Lebanese Arabic songs.
