Yesterday, we headed down to Enigma at J W Marriott to catch the fittings of different designers at India Resortwear Fashion Week. We played fly on the wall to all the madness that happened. Straps flying, outfits adjusted and shoes being taped. Show directors Lubna Adams and Alison Kanuga were ever watchful to the models flaunting all the colourful designs. Rocky S:
Apart from being Creative Director for IRFW, Rocky S will showcase his first ever resort wear collection. Rocky started out as a designer for department store, Roopam, and soon after, he got a break in Bollywood, designing for Akshay Kumar. Since then, he’s had a meteoric rise to fame.
Rocky will be showcasing his collection at 6:30 pm on Saturday, 14th December.
Surily Goel:
Armed with a degree in fashion design from the prestigious Fashion Institute Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, Surily Goel launched her eponymous label SURILY in 2003. This young designer maintains that whilst fashion is her first love, films come a close second. Surily steadfastly established herself as a name to be reckoned with for styling and designing garments for Indian movies.
Her long list of film credits includes big budget movies like Salaam Namaste, Jaanemann, Rituparno Ghosh’s The Last Lear and Ishkq in Paris. Check out a preview of her collection.

Nandita Mahtani:
Nandita Mahtani created a niche for herself in the fashion industry with the launch of her label ANANYA in the year 2000, followed by her signature label – NANDITA MAHTANI. Her breezy designs have caught the fancy of Beyonce. She’s participated in Australia Fashion Week, Colombo Couture Fest and Chivas Fashion Tour. She gave us a sneak peek of her collection.
Nandita Mahtani will be showcasing her collection at 9:30pm on Friday, 13th December.
Nishka Lulla:
Nishka Lulla has stepped away from being just Neeta Lulla’s daughter and has become successful in her own right with her eponymous collection. Check out the preview of her collection.
Nishka Lulla will be showcasing her collection at 5 pm on Thursday, 12th December.
