All India Bakchod

When we first saw All India Bakchod’s new video, talking about their experience trying to make a spoof of Dhoom: 3‘s trailer, we couldn’t stop laughing in the office. They’ve made a parody set to fun.’s We Are Young, and they really take Yash Raj’s case for not allowing them to release the original spoof they planned. This video is their “humble plea” to “Grumpy Ole Bollywood” to “drop their guns against parodies” – and, in it, you hear the story about how YRF shot down their spoof, despite All India Bakchod’s repeated attempts to compromise with them (even going so far as offering to modify their jokes).

Honestly, I don’t know what that spoof looked like, but what I’m pretty sure about is that it’s not funnier than this. So thanks, I guess, YRF, for not letting them release it? Check out AIB’s latest video!

The masterminds behind and actors in the video are G Khamba, Rohan Joshi, Ashish Shakya, Tanmay Bhatt and Abish Mathew. There are a lot of pieces of gold in that video, but “filmy menopause”? Fair warning, you are probably going to hear that phrase a lot around here now, because I plan on using it from now until eternity.

And yes, Yash Raj Films did respond eventually, and they actually handled it fairly well. They sportingly said, “love the way they have taken our pants off” and “keep it coming,” although they did explain why – according to them – they could not allow the Dhoom: 3 trailer spoof:

The AIB guys, on the other hand, insist that it’s technically accurate since they did offer to modify some jokes:

What do you think about their video? Do you agree that YRF just had a “stick up their arse” or do you see their reasoning behind not wanting to allow a parody?
