The 71st Annual Golden Globes Awards ceremony took place last night and some of the biggest names in the film and television industry in Hollywood were felicitated for their work. Funny girls and BFFs, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler played hosts for the evening. American Hustle and 12 Years a Slave took away top honours at the event. Co-Host Amy Poehler won in the category, Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy for Parks & Recreation. BFF Tina remarked, “There’s a special place in hell for you.” before hugging her warmly. FYI, that was a previous diss from Taylor Swift after they poked fun at her love life. Taylor told Vanity Fair post that diss, “There is a special place in hell for women who don’t support other women.”

Tina Fey poked fun at Leonardo DiCaprio’s penchant for dating only supermodels and welcomed him on stage saying: “And now, like a supermodel’s vagina, let’s all give a warm welcome to Leonardo DiCaprio.” Dicaprio blushed in response.
Matthew McConaughey won for his role in Dallas Buyers Club in the Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama category.
