Usually, for my Koffee With Karan round-ups, I do a list of revelations from the episode. However, while we did learn some things this time around – like how Farah Khan still has major beef with Akshay Kumar – the episode was memorable more for the absolutely crazy things that Farah, Abhishek Bachchan and Karan Johar discussed during the course of the show. So for this week’s recap, we’re gonna take a bit of a departure from the usual – here are 5 ridiculous things the guests talked about on Koffee With Karan this weekend!
1. Sex
I don’t know about you, but when Karan Johar and Farah Khan are in conversation, the last thing I want the topic of discussion to be is sex. But, alas. Not only did they talk about their sex lives – along with observe a moment of silence for Karan’s (supposedly!!!) non-existent one – but we also got to hear phrases like, “gay abandon,” “sexual exploitation,” “va va voom, baby,” and the classic: Farah telling Karan, “Something makes me frisky when I look at you.” Which was then followed up with a story about how Farah apparently “came on” to Karan in Scotland by going to his room and then sleeping there for the rest of the schedule. Mental imagery, you guys. (I also never needed to see KJo trying to sing Lahu Munh Lag Gaya all sexily after Farah said she’d dare Sanjay Leela Bhansali to do a love scene with Karan. I mean, what was this episode?!)
2. Farah Khan “going down”
Right at the beginning of the episode, while Farah was descending the stairs, Abhishek offered to come and take her down. Farah told him to please take her down, and Karan very slyly asked, “You like to go down?” Strangely neither of the guests picked up on this – when have they ever let an innuendo go before? – but I did and I laughed because I’m secretly 13 years old.
3. Chest hair
Farah was talking about how vain men have become, and how they’ll want to concentrate on everything – from their hair to their belt – before they even ask for the dialogues. Turns out she doesn’t like these “manicured men,” as KJo put it, something that AB agrees with. He said he’s against the whole waxing chest thing and will cry the day his director asks him to do it (or, he’ll just not do the film). Why? His mother always said never trust a man without chest hair. *Hahahahaha* 10 points to Mrs Bachchan.
4. Karan Johar’s back
It’s probably the least dangerous part of KJo to discuss, as far as anatomies go, but still. Inspired by the theme song of this season, Abhishek made Karan do a twist and show off his back before the conversation could proceed any further.
5. Abhishek’s “ghagra” in Drona
When asked what he would feel scared for Aaradhya about when she grows up, Riteish Deshmukh said: “When she hits her teens and she realises things about her dad… what was my dad wearing in Drona? Why was he wearing a ghagra? Forget Aaradhya, it still worries me as a friend.”
