Those of you who liked seeing the Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma pairing on-screen in a dandruff shampoo commercial will be disappointed to hear that Anushka will not be a part of the next one. Although the ads became popular because of this pairing – and, later, the rumours of them dating – the upcoming ad will feature another leading lady opposite Virat Kohli: Ileana D’Cruz. However, this is only temporary, as Anushka will be back for the brand’s next commercial!
It’s just that, this time around, Anushka couldn’t find any time from her tight schedule to allocate for the ad’s shooting. Like we told you earlier, immediately upon wrapping up Bombay Velvet in Mumbai, the actress headed to Jodhpur for a schedule of NH10, the film that she is co-producing.
Her spokesperson confirmed this to us, saying that, “Despite her best efforts, it was impossible for her to accommodate this ad as her film schedule was locked way in advance. The brand waited until the last moment to see if something could be worked out, but it was impossible.”
You also have to consider that she has Zoya Akhtar‘s Dil Dhadakne Do on her plate, which she will begin shooting for in about a month on a cruise liner. However, she has confirmed that she will shoot for an ad before she begins work on Zoya’s film, and will therefore continue to be associated with the brand. Ileana will only be a part of one ad.
