Vidyut Jammwal may have received a lot of praises for his performance in the film Commando, but perhaps the best of the lot came some time recently. A fan of his from Rajasthan wrote in on Facebook to say that he has been inspired to join the Indian Armed Forces after seeing Commando, even saying that because of Vidyut, he “didn’t give up.” The full message read, “Hey brother how are you? I would like to say because of you I didn’t give up. Soon gonna join Indian armed forces as para commando. Thanks bro. Wishing you bright future.”
A source says, “After seeing Commando, Vidyut of course received tonnes of fan mail expressing their love for his action and stunts and expressing their desire to build a body like him. However, a note he received recently via his official page on Facebook felt very special. A fan from Rajasthan wrote to him stating how inspired Vidyut’s performance as a commando in the army was. After watching the film, he enrolled himself in a programme that trains entrants to become part of the army and the special para commando regiment. It is a 10 month long training regime and only after clearing every level do they stand a chance for the final selection process. The fan’s every effort has now borne fruit with him finally making through all the levels of the prelims to now being selected be part of the para commando force.”
