He is Humpty, adorable and filmy. She is Kavya, beautiful and oh so filmy. Together, they set the screen on fire as Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan bring on the trailer of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, which is colorful and crazy! So here are 5 things that I totally fell in love with at the trailer launch and they surely did a good job entertaining us on a Monday morning!
1. Humpty and Dulhania’s Grand Entry.
The wedding we were already looking forward to got more interesting with reversed role play. The groom (Varun Dhawan) came in a doli and the bride (Alia Bhatt) came dancing down the stairs, baaraat et all. Wearing their jazzy glares, Alia and Varun took centre stage stylishly and Alia lifted Varun again, just like the poster.
2. The Trailer, of course.
The trailer of HSKD was so much fun! Varun’s punch lines, Alia’s attitude and the overall sneak peek into the entertaining film was quite a cheerful way to begin the week with.
3. Alia Bhatt’s wit.
Karan Johar was his usual self, but Alia has sure learnt to answer questions and how! Someone asked her what is the difference between this film and 2 States as it is again a love story. She smartly replied, “I was a Tamilian there and I am Punjabi here. That’s the difference.” A reporter asked her which selfie is better, the one she took with Arjun Kapoor or the one she has now with Varun to which she said, “I have taken a Humphie with Varun, so there is no comparison.” I like!
4. Siddharth Shukla.
He is the handsome hunk of television and to see him on the big screen was exciting! Siddharth Shukla was totally adorable in Jhalak Dikhhlaa Ja 6 and now he is going to play the other hero in this film and he looks really good. It seems that Varun and Alia find a Siddharth to work with in any case!
5. Shaadi ka Laddoo.
After the event, we were all given a huge laddoo, the one you get as a return gift at weddings. So while Humpty is still figuring out his love story, we are already gorging on the mithai. Thank you, Humpty!
