The actor has a soft spot for Sona since they’ve done many films together, and has been helping her by guiding her on the kinds of films she should be signing. Known for longevity and box office success, Akshay is considered one of the smartest guys when it comes to film business – so it’s no surprise that Sonakshi has been taking his advice seriously.
I’ve also heard that the actor stood up for Sonakshi and said her performance in Lootera deserved a National Award. As I’ve told you already, Sonakshi was heavily disheartened during the award season when Lootera and her performance weren’t acknowledged to the degree that she wanted them to be. No doubt, then, that she appreciated Akshay’s reassurance. In fact, I hear he is also giving her tips on the kind of endorsements she should be doing. Looks like he’s now her unofficial “business manager” of sorts!
