Highlights:

When asked whether any films changed her life, Vidya said, “Every character leaves an impression on you, and that’s a great thing!”

Vidya revealed that the toughest scene to shoot for was the one where she had an emotional dialogue with her on-screen father.

On working with Dia Mirza: “She’s one of the warmest people in the industry!” Vidya also revealed that when she was first offered a script by Born Free, she was worried, thinking how she would say no to Dia if she didn’t like the story. Fortunately, though, she did, and they went on to do the film!

“There were 320 people on sets, and everyone felt like they were valued and cherished, and felt ownership. We were all happily working that much harder!”

“In the lead up to the release, I’ve seen just how much goodwill Dia has garnered in the industry. People just love her!”

“One hopes that you get to play different characters with every film. I’ve been fortunate in that sense, but then when you get so many characters in ONE film – it’s unbelievable! Of course they’re more disguises, so they come and go, but I had a field day with the process.”

Message to the boys: “Watch out! It’s woman power on the rise!”

“The entire cast was behaving like we were all in college together. Right from Supriya Pathak to Tanvi Azmi to Ali Fazal to me… we were all behaving like we were teenagers!”

On working with any of the Khans: “When there’s an interesting script that justifies the presence of a Khan and me, then you’ll see us in a film together!”
