Just days after the news of Christophe Lemaire leaving Hermès to concentrate more on his own brand, was out; Hermès made another announcement. They appointed a new artistic director to take the brand ahead and her name is Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski. Haven’t heard of her before? We’re telling you everything you need to know about the newest successor of the luxury fashion house.

1. Her Background

Vanhee-Cybulski is about 36 years old and has a degree from the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts d’Anvers in visual arts, fashion, costume and textile design.

2. Her Resume

In the past, she’s worked with Maison Martin Margiela, Céline and most recently, The Row.

3. Her Hermès connection

She was a member of the design studio of Maison Martin Margiela between 2005 to 2008. A year before her arrival, Martin Margiela who headed Hermès, decided to leave.

4. Her Skills

Céline, Maison Martin Margiela, (and even The Row sometimes), showcase clean silhouettes and a very minimalistic vision, which is synonymous with the style at Hermès. So don’t expect Vanhee-Cybulski to throw a curveball at Hermès anytime soon; From where everyone’s seeing it, she’s going to fit right in.

5. Her First Collection

She is slated to present her first ever collection of women’s ready-to-wear for Hermès in March 2015.

She said “I am delighted to be joining Hermès, a house I so admire andwhose values I share wholeheartedly“, while the CEO of the fashion house, Axel Dumas, also confirmed that she will be devoting herself full-time to Hermès.
