So many food joints to eat on Mohammad Ali Road but where does one go to get the yummiest feast? We got Huzaifa Lightwalla from Studio 7 to give us a look at the best places to grab a bite on the popular Khau Gulli on Mohammad Ali road in Mumbai! Here’s the list in Huzaifa’s words.

Barah Handi

This place is situated opposite Crawford market, near Pydhonie police station. Interestingly, these guys don’t have any logo, signs or even a menu! But people from all over the city come here to eat the paya soup and nulli nihari with lamba pav.

Janata

This place is in the actual Khau Gulli in Suleiman Usman Gulli at Mohd. Ali road. It falls on the left side at the entrance of the gulli and has seating space outside with a shed for the rains, They also have an AC section on the first floor. Get your fill of their kheema pav, Teetar bird (partridge), seekh kabab (white, red, green).

If you really have a sweet tooth then you probably want to add this one to your list. The firnis and malpua (with egg and eggless) at Suleman Usman Mithaiwala are pretty famous.

Situated opposite the Byculla station under the bridge, Persian Darbar is famous for their biryanis and bheja masala. The dal ghosht and rice here is to die for and the carmel custard adds to the happiest ending you can ever imagine.
