1. Meet Your Parents

Remember them? Those people who brought you into this world, raised and fed you? Take some of that daily Facebook time and spend it with your parents. You might realise that they’re actually a nice lot.

2. Move To Twitter & Instagram

Don’t know where to ‘share your feelings’ or upload a picture of that apple pie you ate for dessert? Move to Twitter and Instagram – yes they seem to be working fine.

3. Hit refresh

Just a warning, you might end up doing this for a while. But if you’re that panicked, by all means, hit refresh. Still nothing? Well then, hit it again!

4. doll up for your next selfie

Well you definitely need a ‘I survived the Facebook crash’ selfie once Facebook is back, right? Use your Facebook down time to dress up for it!

5. be productive

This time, you actually have nothing to waste your time on so maybe you can actually get some work done.

6. Catch Up On your TV Shows

Since Facebook is down, you won’t find any spoilers for your favourite TV shows. So in the end, this might actually be a good thing.

7. Play some old fashioned monopoly

Pissed off you can’t feed your farm animals or  glue yourself to Candy Crush? Bring out some old-fashioned Monopoly. By the time you’re done, we’re sure Facebook will be up and running again.

8. DO Not Actually go stalking people

I know this post is about what you CAN do when Facebook decides to leave you without any warning but this had to be added to the list. I know you can’t check up on your boyfriends ex at the click of a button but that doesn’t mean you try to go do it in person.

9. use a phone

Want to know what your friends are up to this evening? Pick up the phone and speak to them. I know you would rather poke them or write on their wall but your phone is the next best option.

10. It’s friday, why are you even home?

It’s Friday! Haven’t you spent enough time over this past week in front of a computer screen? Get out of those PJ’s and go out; they don’t say TGIF for nothing.

By now, Facebook is probably up and running again. Life, as you know it, has resumed and your wall is most likely flooded with new baby photos, selfies and pictures of food to compensate for all the lost time. What are you waiting for? Go ahead, put up that new “I’M BAACCKK” selfie – you know you want to!
