With the ongoing fad of no carb diets (for the uninitiated this basically means no devouring the stuff that we all love the most-pizzas, pastas, breads, etc.) we decided to do a little digging of our own and found that some of our hottest, healthiest celebs aren’t fans of going the no carb way!  Here’s what three of Bollywood’s finest and fittest had to say.

Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez: “A macro-biotic diet, which I have been following for four years, is basically a balance of carbs, proteins and vegetables. It’s easy to follow and you can’t falter much with it because you can apply it to any meal at any given time, with any kind of food as well.” MM

Karisma Kapoor
Karisma Kapoor

Karisma Kapoor: “I don’t believe in the no-carb diet… I have a theory. I think if you give up carbs, you get cranky. You must include them in your daily diet.” BQ

John Abraham
John Abraham

John Abraham: “No need to cut the carbs completely: We all love carbs (rice, pasta, potatoes, bread) but try to have them early in the day. They are excellent fuel and will fill you up and give you energy. More importantly, your body then has the whole day in which to burn them off.” JA

The take away?  Don’t deny yourself the good stuff that is pizza, pastas, and all things carbs.  The golden rule: moderation all the way!
