Disclaimer: We are aware that How I Met Your Mother was a very fun show and the characters have a special place in our hearts and hence cannot be recreated. This is more of a ‘if you haaad to’ sort of a situation 🙂
For all of you who followed How I Met Your Mother as well as Bollywood, it wouldn’t have taken you long to realize that the finale of the show was too Bollywood-esque, to say the least. It took them 9 years to say what Kuch Kuch Hota Hai managed to say in 3 hours.
After giving you our wish-list for a Bollywood version of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, here is who we think will fit the bill for your favourite How I Met Your Mother characters.
1. Ted Mosby = Fawad Khan
While we are looking forward to the very dishy Fawad’s Khoobsurat opposite Sonam Kapoor, we think it’d be quite interesting to see him pull of the character of Ted – sweet, romantic, confused, needy and oddly sexy. Come on, Fawad! Make our zindagi gulzar already!

2. Robin Scherbatsky = Katrina Kaif
Gorgeous, sexy, career oriented and one of the boys – Katrina Kaif could do justice to Robin’s character. Other than the fact that social media is abuzz calling Kat and Robin doppelgangers, Kaif’s character Laila from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara showed us that the girl sure knows how to have fun!

3. Lily Aldrin = Parineeti Chopra.
The nurturing character of the group and someone who is blessed with a great sense of humour, spunk and spontaneity, Lily Aldrin’s character should go to Parineeti Chopra. Pari has proven that in the race of all actresses wanting to be hot, she is effortlessly cool.

4. Marshal Erikson = Aditya Roy Kapoor
The big goofball Marshal can be played by Aditya Roy Kapoor. A slightly odd choice this may be, but we think Kapoor will do a good job at it and his scenes with best friend Fawad, will be drool worthy! Also, the natural chemistry between him and Parineeti Lily Chopra will be wonderful to watch, as can be seen in their upcoming Daawat-E-Ishq.

5. Barney Stinson = Ranveer Singh
The man with a plan! The one with the ladies, cool theories, crazy sense of humour, who can get away with anything and will look like a million bucks when he ‘suits up’ – who else, but the legen…wait for it..dary Ranveer Singh?
From playing various characters onscreen to giving entertaining interviews off screen to doing unique condom ads to coming up with a Manchow rap for a product, playing Barney Stinson will just be another feather in Ranveer’s already loaded hat.
