From product endorsements to supporting various NGOs and INGOs, being brand ambassadors is nothing new for Bollywood actors. However, recently Shah Rukh Khan signed on to promote something else altogether. The Bollywood superstar became the first Indian to be made an Ambassador for INTERPOL’s Turn Back Crime campaign, a global initiative that promotes empowering citizens by spreading the message of how all of society benefits when each one of us respect the law and fight crime.

According to the campaign’s website, Shah Rukh Khan said, “It’s a very special honor to be a part of INTERPOL’s Turn Back Crime Campaign as an Ambassador.” He further added, “I believe we can, we should and we must stand together against the few who commit crimes against humanity, in whatever form or guise.”

The actor also took on Twitter to tweet: “Honoured to be the Ambassador for TURN BACK CRIME, the Interpol initiative. Thanx Mr. Noble for the opportunity. Don on the right side of Interpol. How ironically cool is that…ha ha.”

We applaud SRK for his contribution toward this noble cause and urge each one of you to join Shah Rukh Khan in sharing the message – #TogetherWeCan #TurnBackCrime.
