Recently, mother-daughter duo Tanuja and Tanishaa Mukerji gave an interview about the production house they have just started. During the interview, Tanuja was asked about her absence from Rani Mukerji‘s wedding, and the actress revealed that she had not been invited for it at all. (Rani is Tanuja’s niece; she is Tanishaa and Kajol‘s second cousin.) However, the older actress brushed it off during the interview, saying that it was fine she wasn’t invited since she didn’t really keep in touch with the family herself.
However, from what I’ve heard, Rani isn’t thrilled that Tanuja made a statement like that at all. In fact, she’s a bit upset that her name was brought in to a conversation where it was not required… especially in an interview that was mainly to promote Tanishaa. Although the families greet each other when they meet for events, things are sour between them, especially between Kajol and Rani. They don’t really get along, and things are worse now that their respective husbands – Ajay Devgn and Aditya Chopra – are not on talking terms thanks to the Jab Tak Hai Jaan/Son of Sardaar blowout that happened a while ago.
