We all know that Shah Rukh Khan and Aditya Chopra are thick friends. So it’s obvious that whenever the superstar asks the latter to do something, he has no choice but to oblige.
That’s exactly why the extremely reticent Mr. Chopra agreed to give the first clap during the commencement of Maneesh Sharma’s next directorial venture Fan.
It seems there was a long standing tradition at Yash Raj Films where Yash Chopra used to give the first clap for every film. And after his demise, his elder son Aditya had taken over all his responsibilities except this one. For some reason, he never wanted to follow the first clap custom. So it was decided that the seniormost person present on the set would give the clap whenever the shoot of a new film begins.
However, Aditya Chopra will now continue his father’s tradition. On the insistence of Maneesh and SRK, on the sets of YRF’s Fan, Aditya Chopra agreed to take over the custom.
This is Shah Rukh’s first film with YRF with Yash Chopra not around. So the actor got quite emotional and then he coaxed Aditya to make the first clap. So now, it’s decided! Henceforth, Aditya Chopra is going to give the first clap for every film of the production house.
Now, that’s King Khan for you! He makes impossible possible! Won’t you agree, guys?
