So, if Housefull and Housefull 2 weren’t enough already, the makers of this series have decided to take this further by making Housefull 3. Sajid Nadiadwala has yet again joined hands with Eros International Media Limited to make the third installment of his hit comedy franchise. The film, starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh and Kriti Sanon, will be directed by the talented duo Sajid-Farhad.
Confirming this venture, Sajid told the media, “I’m happy to team up with Eros once more for this very popular series. Housefull 3 will be bigger and funnier and we are confident together we will once again successfully present some wholesome entertainment to audiences worldwide.” Jyoti Deshpande, CEO of Eros International also went on to add, “We share a special relationship with Sajid that goes back several decades and are excited to have Sajid back with us. What better film to start with than the third instalment of the hit franchise Housefull. It promises to be a star studded laugh riot shot lavishly in the UK, Sajid Nadiadwala style.”
What’s new here is that unlike the last two times, this film will not directed by Sajid Khan. Maybe the film won’t be so bad after all, eh? Sajid-Farhad might just bring something new to the table this time around. With actors like Akshay, Riteish and Abhishek, who have impeccable comic timing, Sajid promises this film will be a laugh riot. Housefull 3, an out-and-out commercial film, will also mark the coming together of Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan after a gap of 12 long years. The two were last seen together in Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya. After watching Riteish Deshmukh playing a dark role in Ek Villain, we’re waiting to watch him do what he does best! While the exact date is not yet known, the film will have a 2015 release.
