The Best of Me
The Best of Me

Here’s good news for all the suckers of sappy romances (including me) out there. If you love love stories then Nicholas Sparks is bound to be one of your favourite authors. Naturally whenever one of his books is adapted into a movie, it’s always eagerly awaited by millions across the world. Be it A Walk To Remember, The Notebook, Dear John, The Last Song or The Lucky One – I have loved each of the films based on the popular writer’s novels. I’m sure many of you echo my feelings.

Another one of the super mushy sagas by Sparks is being helmed into a Hollywood flick, The Best of Me. While I know that most of us are more than happy to be awaiting its release, I must add to your excitement by sharing this piece of super awesome news.

The lead actors of The Best of Me, James Marsden and Michelle Monaghan, will soon be visiting India accompanied by their director Michael Hoffman. Isn’t that great news? I’ve been crushing on James for a looooong time and have watched 27 Dresses a hundred times over just for him! So you can only imagine how thrilled I am to hear this piece of information! I am sure many of you guys would be equally kicked to have the ravishing Michelle and the talented Mr. Hoffman in our country.

The trio will be here from October 29 to 31 2014 to promote their flick and they will be seen at the following events during their stay here.

· The South Asia Premier on October 29th 2014
· A closed door black tie dinner on October 30th 2014

Venessa Roy, who’s heading the film’s Marketing & PR in India, says, “We are very excited to have the opportunity to host the South Asian Red Carpet Premier of The Best of Me along with the entire cast of James Marsden, Michelle Monaghan and have the director Michael Hoffman here in India for it. The premier is going to be held at PVR Phoenix on the 29th of October 2014. In addition to the lead cast we are very excited to also have the head of the studio Ryan Kavanaugh and Tucker Tooley visiting as well. It establishes the studios commitment to India and gives the cast the opportunity to experience the local industry as well as celebrate our festive season of Diwali.”

Since they will be putting up in Mumbai, apparently the three of them plan to visit the Gateway of India, the Queen’s Necklace at Marine Drive and Elephanta Caves. They might also take a ride on our local trains, eat Indian food, catch up with some of their favourite Bollywood actors and shop during Diwali. Sounds like a plan!
