Sussanne Khan and Gauri Khan have famously been BFFs with each other for many years now. Reportedly, Gauri was there for Sussanne at the time of her much talked about separation with Hrithik Roshan too. That’s why it came as quite a surprise when Sussanne decided to avoid Gauri’s recently-held bash.
Gauri just turned 44 and threw a grand birthday party for her close friends and family. Shweta Bachchan and Karishma Kapoor also made it to the party. Others present were Bhavna Pandey, Rhea Pillai, Zoya Akhtar, Farah Khan, Amrita Arora, Parmeshwar Godrej and Hrithik Roshan. The party was thrown by hubby Shah Rukh Khan and buzz is that Sussanne skipped the party because Hrithik was attending.
Sussanne and Gauri go back a long way and the former’s absence at the party is surely becoming a talking point. SRK and Gauri have been good friends with Hrithik and Sussanne. In fact, the star wives are known to have gone on vacations together sans their partners too. Perhaps no one expected things to be the same after such a high profile break up, but we just don’t think everyone was ready for the possible repercussions of the split on the common friends of the couple. But on his part, Hrithik was reportedly at the party till the wee hours of the morning and was seen spending most of his time with King Khan.
Of course, there’s not been any statement about the same by Sussanne, so here’s hoping her absence had nothing to do with Hrithik’s presence and that Sussanne will make it up to Gauri soon. After all, the last thing we want in Bollywood is another great friendship turning sour!
