Florals? For spring? When done the way Rohit Bal did it, it most definitely is groundbreaking! Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) came to an end with Bal showcasing his spring summer 2015 collection at Delhi’s Qutub Minar. Titled ‘GULBAGH‘, the collection took inspiration from the Mughal gardens of Kashmir, according to the collection note and at the end of the evening, the entire presentation left the viewers mesmerised. The audience was treated to live sufi music as the models walked down the runway in designs addled with a touch of whimsy. Starting off with clothes perfect for the friend or sister of the bride the collection flowed with ease into designs fit for the bride herself. Chanderi, mulmul, velvet and silk were completed with hand-block prints, quilting and embroidery. While the options for women were plentiful, the Rohit Bal man isn’t one to shy away from floral prints.
