You know I love hair accessories right? Sometime I just keep collecting them, even if I might not be able to wear them. The level of accessories in my closet may have risen to an all-time high but this one is a first. I’d never seen something like this before and when I did, I had to get my hands on it.

Ok enough with the suspense, here’s the story. A while ago, I attended an event for MissMalini.com. At the same event, I spotted a guest wearing something in her hair and fell in love with it instantly. Of course I asked her where she got it and pat came the reply, “at some exhibition“. She didn’t remember the name and I couldn’t leave without a photo to Instagram, here…

A jewellery brand called Accessory Funk responded to my Instagram (who knew the social media platform doubled up as fairy God mother?!) and a little while later, the beautiful accessory landed up at my doorstep.

Here’s how you wear it…

It’s quite simple, all you need to do a tie a low bun on the back of your head. To make it a little bit more elaborate, twist up a couple of sections from both sides and pin to the back.

Once the bun is tied, you just add the piece on top of the bun,

It has a comb on both sides so you just attach that into the side of the bun and it doesn’t slip off. Spread the loose wires around and above your bun to provide full coverage, if you like.

It really looks like a crown specially made for your messy bun! Thank you Accessory Funk, you totally made my entire party month!
