The epic Andaz Apna Apna turns 20 this year, guys! Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, AAA enjoys a cult status today and is probably the only reason I find it in my heart to forgive Santoshi for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Phata Poster Nikla Hero. The film has probably dictated and influenced major areas of your life.
Like, how can you date someone who doesn’t get your Andaz Apna Apna references? Or how you wait for your friends to ask you about an interview you nailed just so that you can say “Unka ek ek sawal humare do do jawab, sawal ek, jawab do, sawal ek jawab do, sawal jawab, sawal jawab….chup lambi khamoshi.” Ah, I could go on.
So here I attempt to list out 9 things Andaz Apna Apna gave us that makes it one of the best things to have happened to mankind.
1.The Most Epic Back Handed Compliment
Aap purush nahi hain… mahapurush hain! Mahapurush!
2. The Secret To Best Friendships
Do dost ek pyali mein chai piyenge.. Isse pyaar badhta hai

Now there’s an explanation for all the Dabboos, Chintoos, Lolos, Bebos of the world! Notice extremely smart Kapoor khandan reference! Notice how one of the Kapoors is in the film!
4. The Coolest Halloween Costumes
Personally, I think enough has just not been said about the clothes in the film. The above picture clearly shows how the fashion in the film would make fun Halloween costumes. Raveena Tandon, who was Karishma in the film, however, wore the best clothes throughout. Pun not intended. Sexy dresses, fun hats, knee high boots… #WinMax
In fact, I think the epic bus conversation that happened between Aamir Khan and Salman Khan about what piece of clothing they got from where, should have happened between the girls.
5. The Rum Endorsement
Gham ka saathi rum!
Okay. I may be biased to this because Old Monk fills each void in my heart on a regular basis but truer words have never been spoken! This NEEDS to be Old Monk’s tagline and they should have it printed on every bottle. #DareToDream
