This afternoon, I caught up with Ali Zafar for a candid conversation on his journey so far in Bollywood, his latest film, Kill Dil, and a lot more. To read all that, you’ll have to stay tuned – but something really funny happened during my interaction with the Pakistani actor and I HAD to share it with you guys ASAP. So here it goes.
Ali was his composed self while answering all my questions like a pro interviewee when suddenly his phone started ringing. When he took it out of his jeans pocket to put it on silent mode, I saw ‘Babe’ flashing on his phone. Naturally, I found it a tad funny and ended up chucking a little louder than I intended to.
The Kill Dil actor heard me and instantly said, “I know you saw it so in case you’re wondering who ‘Babe’ is, well, that’s my wife. Her number has been saved with this name since ‘those’ days.” And with that even he burst out into laughter. Not to mention, his cheeks had turned pink in embarrassment.
Now, isn’t that cute? I’m sure Ali’s wifey, Ayesha Fazli, finds it flattering that her hubby still addresses her the way teenage boys address their first girlfriends. Aww!
