Everyone knows that one of the most important features in your cell phone is the camera – after all, most of us can’t really go through the day without Snapchatting a selfie or Instagramming our fantastic lunch. But did you know that there are so many people who are going a step further with cell phone pictures by actually taking them underwater? Yup – underwater selfies are a thing. What a time to be alive. #dreamcometrue

A simple search on Instagram with the hashtag #underwater or #underwaterselfie will show you that this is clearly the newest trend on the block, and it’s one we can totally get behind because the results are just so cool! Here are some of our favourites from Instagram:

These pictures give us major jealousy (how dare someone take a better selfie than us, yes?), so we decided we wanted in on the action as well. The good news is, the new Sony Xperia Z3 is flippin’ fantastic – not only does it have an amazing camera (hello, 20.7 megapixels!) but it’s waterproof, which means that it’s perfect for all those underwater photos we’ve dreamed up.

Just have a look:

So much love! We can’t wait to play with this phone more. Because gone are the days when you’d protect your phone from accidental spills – now you can purposely dunk it water and have no issues. Like I said – what a time to be alive!!!
