Hi friends! Monday has arrived! Yes, I know it’s a horrible day and you’re half-asleep but because it’s Monday, you now have 6 whole days to prepare for the weekend. See, that’s such a nice way to look at things. Anyway, now that the weekend will come eventually, here’s a list of 10 insanely fun and amazingly easy drinking games you should totally play with a bunch of your drunk friends. Prepare yourself well, so that you win every game you suggest – think of this list as a cheat sheet and thank me later.
1) Beer Pong
Duh! Is a house party even a house party without beer pong? For the uninitiated, let me tell you how you can play this legendary game. All you need is one ping pong ball and 12 glasses of beer. Arrange six glasses on each side of the table (you also need a table, forgot to mention that first) and divide the people in the party into two groups. Now as your turn comes, throw the ping pong ball in to the opposite team’s glasses. If it lands inside a glass, the opposing team must drink the beer immediately, if it doesn’t, that means you need glasses. The winning team is the one that makes the opposing team drink all their drinks! Yes, beer pong gets progressively tougher (and a lot more fun) as players keep getting more drunk.
2) Never Have I Ever
Another easy peasy one! Never Have I Ever is also called I Have Never in some parts of the world and they both kind of mean the same thing. One person says “Never have I ever turned up hungover to work” and whoever has done that has to drink up. Remember that train scene in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani? When poor Deepika Padukone can’t drink a thing because she’s done nothing? Yeah, that’s the game. Lots of fun.
3) Kings
Kings is so much fun that we’ve all been obsessed with it for quite a while now! A normal deck of playing cards, an empty glass and lots of alcohol are all the things you need to play this game! Get all your directions here.
4) Andaz Apna Apna Drinking Game
For a movie-buff like me, a party which involves movies is the best party in the world! That’s why the Andaz Apna Apna drinking game is the BEST DRINKING GAME OF ALL TIME! Check it out, it’s so much fun! Guaranteed drunk people at the party.
5) Flip, Sip or Strip
Every player takes turns in flipping a coin and calling heads or tails while the coin is in the air. If you guess correctly, pass the coin to the person on your right. If you guess it wrong, then you have to pass the coin to your left and either remove one item of your clothing or take a shot. And no, you can’t get away with just drinking instead of stripping down to your bare minimum. Choosing the same option two times in a row is against the rules, so say hello to drunky time, my friend!
6) Power Hour
What does one do during power hour? Drink as much as they can within that hour! Obviously.
7) The ‘Laughing’ game
I don’t know how popular this game is but I played it with my friends and the results were hilarious (all of us got drunk fairly quickly). So basically no one in the room can show their teeth while laughing. They either have to cover their mouths (like the king of my heart Ryan Gosling is doing so perfectly) or laugh out loud by covering their teeth with their mouth or gums or lips, I can’t explain this, so here’s an illustration!

8) Word Game
What a fun game! All you have to do is ban some words at the start of the party (general words that people use often like ‘yes‘ ‘no‘ *insert often-used four letter word*) and whoever uses the said banned words (because, of course they will) has to drink! Yay!
9) Taboo
Drunk Taboo is way, way, way better than regular Taboo. Drunk Taboo is way, way, way better than many things in the world.
10) The Alphabet game
Such an easy game when sane, such a difficult game when drunk. In the alphabet game, one person names a celebrity (Eg. Shah Rukh Khan) and the next person has to name a celebrity whose name starts with the first alphabet of the previous celebrity’s surname within 30 seconds (so in this case, Kareena Kapoor will be a good example). If you can’t answer within 30 seconds then you know what you have to do, right?
And lastly, this is the drinking game we must definitely avoid…
