With the amount of heat I put my hair through, I feel like I’ll be balding very soon. Not to mention, it takes loads of effort to blow-dry your hair, no matter how “easy” blow-dry tutorials make drying your hair seem. As real women who don’t necessarily have a 24 x 7 hair stylist, things can get a little messy during our daily routines. Next thing you know,  you look like pre-makeover Hermione Granger. You’re not 12 anymore, girlfriend. Not cool!

I’m attempting to make it a little easier on you here’s another one of my lazy-girl guides. If you enjoyed my guide to a quick morning look and my guide on a quick switch to night time makeup, you won’t want to miss this one. It works for me, so give it a try!

Step 1: Shampoo Your Scalp

Try shampooing only your scalp, and avoid shampooing your ends. It’s your scalp that needs the most cleaning. Shampooing your ends can dry them out and cause them to look dull or frizzy.

Step 2: Condition Your Hair

Now do the reverse with conditioner: condition your hair,  but NOT your scalp. Conditioning your scalp leads to greasiness on the top. Once you’ve applied conditioner to your hair, use a wide-toothed comb to comb out the ends, gently.

Step 3: Towel-Dry Gently

Once you’re done with your shower, do a l’il Mere Khwabon Mein dance. Okay done? Now towel-dry your hair. This is the important part, girls. Don’t rub your hair, it causes friction, which causes breakage. Use a towel to clap your hair, or gently hit it with the towel.

Step 4: Apply Leave-In Conditioner

Mix a cent-sized amount of leave-in conditioner with a drop or two of serum and smooth onto your towel-dried hair. Try and avoid the scalp again.

Step 5: Detangle & Tie

De-tangle again with a wide-toothed comb and pull your hair into low pony tail. Make sure it’s loose and use a hair tie with a soft outer covering.

BONUS STEP: Apply Hair Spray

Seal the deal with a little heat spray. It’s amazing for frizzy hair!
