One man’s perfectionism could be another’s interference. However, Shahid Kapoor is seemingly not bothered at all about what the world around him has to say when it comes to his involvement with films. While he is still basking in the glory of critical acclaim and the commercial success that he has garnered for Haider, the actor is now making sure that for his next film, Farzi, which is about to go on floors soon, everything is right on paper.
A source says:
“He has exchanged a lot of notes with the director duo Raj and DK. He has gone through every aspect of the film and since it is an intelligent thriller in the making, he has been asking a lot of questions. Yes, he is busy wrapping up the shoot of Shandaar while Raj and DK too are just through with the release of their Happy Ending. Soon they will be touching base again before the shooting of Farzi begins.”
One wonders though how Raj and DK feel about this, considering the fact that this is their first stint with the actor.
“Well, what Shahid is doing is nothing out of the ordinary,” the director duo comments in unison, “We welcome creative inputs from him; he is the lead after all. Since he has to own the character, a certain amount of ideas is most welcome. There is no ego here and we are happy to hear what he has to say for Farzi.”
With another thinking actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the cast and Kriti Sanon being promised a pivotal role to play as well, guess Raj and DK will be gaining quite a lot of insights from their actors.
An Eros production, Farzi is all set to go on floors in January.
