Deepika Padukone is fabulous. There are no two ways about it! She’s so fabulous that sometimes the men she has dated haven’t really lived up to her standard of greatness. Now before you accuse me of being someone who has unresolved feelings when it comes to Miss Padukone, let me clarify; that’s not me, that’s Team MissMalini‘s Rashmi with the girl crush on DP, but I do think her men deserve to be ranked! I mean, if we could do it for Salman, why can’t we do it for Deepika? Anyway, read on and tell me who you think should be ranked where! Also note, this ranking is my opinion ONLY.
5) Ranbir Kapoor
Her most high-profile relationship (before Ranveer Singh), Deepika and Ranbir Kapoor were like a match made in Bollywood heaven! Both of them debuted in the same year, both of them were declared the most promising faces of Bollywood and both of them were so adorable together. Sadly, like all good things, this one came to an end when Ranbir allegedly cheated on her with Katrina Kaif. Deepika admitted it herself that she was heartbroken after this break-up, but I suppose it was better for them both. Ranbir is now living in bliss with Katrina and Deepika is happy with Ranveer (I mean, who wouldn’t be happy with Ranveer?!)
4) Nihar Pandya
Before Deepika became the star that she is now, she was dating fellow model Nihar Pandya for sometime. They look good together but were sadly not interesting enough. Nihar did make news for dating Gauahar Khan later but she went with Kushal Tandon eventually, what’s with this guy?
3) Yuvraj Singh
It was never acknowledged by either in public but everyone knows Yuvraj Singh and Deepika dated for a while. They would have definitely made a power couple (maybe like Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma) but I guess Yuvi wasn’t Deepika’s type.
2) Sid Mallya
He’s so funny! Sid Mallya was one of the best boyfriends Deepika had. No one can forget their adorable PDA during the IPL when Deepika was the brand ambassador of Bangalore Royal Challengers. Even after their break-up, Sid was very vocal in his support for Deepika after she called out the Times Of India for being creeps. He’s so cute, he even made a dig at them during one his episodes of Sid Sessions! Sid and Deepika were great together, even if they didn’t last, I’m glad they broke up on a good note!
1) Ranveer Singh
These two slay me. I don’t even need to explain why I love Deepika with Ranveer Singh so much, just go re-watch Ram-Leela (for the 21 reasons MissMalini loved it alone!) and you will know that the passion created on-screen would be impossible if there were no sparks flying in real life. Cannot wait for Bajirao Mastani to see this couple in action once again, just cannot. Please stay the way you are guys!
