As you know, MS Dhoni‘s biopic is due for a 2015 release. Sushant Singh Rajput will be playing lead in the film and I think he’ll do a fab job at it. Remember his portrayal of a cricketer enthusiast in his debut film Kai Po Che? 2015 is generally looking good for Sushant, since he is also going to be in and as Detective Byomkesh Bakshy – something that I am really looking forward to!
But you know who might be having an even better year? Dhoni himself! He recently retired from test cricket and the Internet went crazy. But he’s clearly not out of action – in fact, Dhoni has demanded a whooping sum of Rs 80 crore from the studio. Not only that, he will also be receiving a share in the film’s profits.
A source was quoted by a tabloid saying:
Negotiations have been going on for a while but the deal has only recently been sealed for Rs 80 crore. Of this, Rs 20 crore has reportedly been paid to Dhoni for the rights to his life story.
