Now this little piece of information totally caught us by surprise. As Sonam Kapoor is gearing up for the arrival of her Dolly Ki Doli in just a week from now, there is a rumour floating around that she also has a part to play in Zoya Akhtar‘s Dil Dhadakne Do. And that’s not all. Apparently Sonam’s name in the movie is Rossie and rumour has it she’ll be playing Farhan Akhtar‘s sibling in the movie!
When asked, Sonam was at her animated best, the fashionista was quoted saying:
Are you crazy, I am certainly not in the film! See, my dad is a part of the film. That’s about it. I am related to Anil Kapoor in real life, not reel life
Now that Sonam has confirmed that she is NOT a part of the movie, one certainly wishes that this rumour was true! Dil Dhadakne Do would have gotten even better (if that’s possible) had the actress played a part in it. After all, her presence along with Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma would have made the movie hotter than it already is.
As of now, it’s just Dolly Ki Doli and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that will keep Sonam engaged for most part of the year. Regarding her playing the role of slain flight attendant, Neerja Bhanot in an upcoming film, she neither confirms nor denies her presence. All she says is,
Let the makers come up with a formal announcement. I can’t comment on that for now.
We get it! Until we hear anything else, we’ll make do with Dolly which, as per Sonam, is one of those rare clean family offerings from Bollywood to hit the screens.
