His last film might have bombed at the box office, but Arjun Kapoor is still being flooded with offers. A source reveals that even though Tevar didn’t work at the cash registers, Arjun has been getting at least three to four scripts every day. A lot of this material is coming from his dad, Boney Kapoor, as he wants to ensure that whatever his son signs next is worth investing in.
From what I hear, it seems Arjun wants to break away from the ‘typical North Indian boy’ image as pointed out by the AIB guys during the roast. The actor truly feels that he has had enough of playing such characters and wishes to attempt various new roles. In fact, Arjun is making sure that he reads only those scripts in which he’s not playing a North Indian guy. For him, Finding Fanny was a revelation and he enjoyed that. He is open to playing a diverse range of characters and more importantly, he wants to be cast opposite different actresses.
Karan Johar is also guiding him in picking the right scripts. And as we all know, the filmmaker had cast Arjun in 2 States and that turned to be the actor’s most successful flick to date. So it seems that KJo is on a hunt for a story that will do justice to Arjun.
