A live-action movie on our favourite Disney fairy tale, Cinderella, is releasing and we really can’t wait for this magnum-opus to blaze our silver screens! Cinderella is hands-down the most popular Disney princess, whose remarkable story has been etched in our minds since we were all little girls. Every girl still dreams of marrying a Prince Charming and on a bad day, most of us wish that a Fairy Godmother would just arrive and sort our issues out. So important is this princess in pop-culture that we are now all set to demand a Bollywood version to be made. Now if we’re demanding a desi spin-off, we obviously need a desi cast! So let’s have a look at who would be the perfect actors to act out these perfect characters!
Cinderella – Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor would be a perfect Cinderella. Kind, beautiful, delicate and someone nice enough to tolerate the abuses her step-family puts her through! On top of that, I know she will rock those glass sandals.
Prince Charming – Hrithik Roshan
I know Fawad Khan is the name most of you guys would scream, but dude! As long as Hrithik fu#*ing Roshan is alive, no one – I repeat, no one – can be Prince Charming. If you doubt that, watch this, again.
Fawad does come a close second though.
Lady Tremaine – Ratna Pathak Shah
If Cate Blanchett is playing the evil stepmother in Hollywood’s version of Cinderella then I don’t think anyone apart from Ratna Pathak Shah can shine as Lady Tremaine. She’ll slay it and I know it. I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it.
Drizella Tremaine – Sana Saeed
She showed us how capable she is when it comes to shade-throwing in Student Of The Year; I’m sure she’ll play the evil Drizella Tremaine (stepsister one) perfectly.
Anastasia Tremaine – Anusha Dandekar
Yep, the other sister whose evil to Cinderella because her mum and her sister said so. Anusha is a total hottie, but she can also be evil if she doesn’t get her way. I won’t be surprised if the Prince gets momentarily distracted by her sexy evilness.
Fairy Godmother – Farida Jalal
No one can play the kind fairy godmother other than Farida Jalal. No one!
