Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs

For a designation that describes me as the associate Fashion Blogger at MissMalini, calling myself a tech freak sounds more like asking a layman to believe that a girl kissing a frog would totally turn him into her prince charming. (Yes, that’s kinda impossible! And kissing a frog is not advised :P)

Steve Jobs said,

The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.

And this man did just that! If at this point you’re thinking that – this girl is probably just another Apple user looking for every kind of technology that only makes life simpler, then you’re probably right! As the entire technology industry remembers Steve Jobs fondly, I can’t help but list out ways in which this man has changed my life.

1. Inventing The PC

For those of you who didn’t know this – you should probably be thanking Steve Jobs for creating that digital screen that you’re glued to 24×7. In 1977, with the introduction of Apple II, Jobs had invented the personal computer which has been hailed as one of the first true PCs. Life changing!

2. Reincarnation Of The Movie Industry

Jobs was always looking forward to revolutionising the use of computer graphics in films. So here’s a revelation ladies and gentlemen – those fascinating animations that make Disney movies come to life and leave you dumbfounded; were created by Steve Jobs! He literally saved Disney’s animation department and created the most consistently, critically acclaimed film studio ever. Without Steve, Disney wouldn’t have changed the world like it did!

3. Music and The Digital Store

The Apple iPod

I am the biggest music junkie you’ll ever find. My phone storage is always beeping for more space and my 2 iPods are over flowing with the best of music ever! (Okay, maybe I am lying about that!) Anyway, the point is the music market would quite likely not be in such great shape if it wasn’t for the Apple iPod. What great music we would have missed out on, if it wasn’t for this one man who made it all so easy for us!

4. Wireless Carrier and The Cool Apps

iPhone Apps

If the stats are to be believed – the number of people who download apps has gone from about 5 percent to 95 percent (or more). Wow! That cool Air Drop system (where you transfer files over the air) and iCloud Drive that you use for storage has all been created by him. Yes, he totally made my life easy! Thanks to the iPhone, now all those cool (paid and non-paid) apps are all available just a click away without having to deal with subscriptions to use them.

5. The Game Zone

As an older sister, I have always seen my younger brother glued to the Nintendo. (Yes! We constantly fought over who would play it, even though I sucked at every game.) I really loved the Nintendo, but right then Steve Jobs came ripping its business model apart with the App Store, where smartphone users could download every game in the world they wanted. And, of course I fell for it too. I literally have 22 games on my iPhone and no, I am not joking about that either! 22 apps, including the Kim Kardashian game because I am just that big a fan!

PS: I am a fashion blogger. Remember?!

Along the years, we saw Steve Jobs come with multiple pieces of technology that made life so simple. He rewired the PC to transform it into the iPad. Thanks to him computers are all set to change and improve a great deal over the next few years.

I have always been a huge Apple user even though I grew up on PCs. At the end of my post, all I have to say is without Steve Jobs, the tech world would be rather boring. This man has completely reinvented and improved all of my favourite things and my life has literally taken a 180 degree turn. Mr. Jobs, even though I never met you; you will always be the IOS to my Mac!

Happy Birthday Mr. Jobs!
