As we spoke to Arjun, he told us about the film and his character,

This movie is about the growth of each character. Along with being set around a coffee plantation and the coffee bloom, the bloom also signifies the growth and subsequent bloom of each character. My character is of a young boy who lives in Bangalore with his mother – they run a small coffee business. It’s about how they go back to the coffee plantation that they once owned only to find that the new owner is also the woman who once broke his heart!

On working with Sugandha Garg,

Fantastic! We have worked together before in MNIK and we share a comfort level. In fact, it was I who suggested her name for the film. Her character is very well written and we needed someone who could do justice to the character… and she is fantabulous!”

On one character that really excites him as an actor,

There is a part of me that wants to play this really scary… out and out psychopath kind of a character.

We hope to see you playing a role like that soon, Arjun!

And then, it was time for some fun questions:

If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Kadhi Chawal.

What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received for your performance?

I would say it came from Mr. Javed Akhtar for Luck By Chance. It was at his Holi party a few years ago, he said a few things to me that I hold very close to my heart.

If Team MissMalini came to your house, what would you cook for us?

I can boil an egg really well.

LOL!

What was your first date like?

My first date… it was at a Mexican restaurant in Delhi, I was about 16-years-old; and quite AWKWARD… and a lot of silence.

Aww!

One celebrity you could stalk, who would it be?

Jennifer Lawrence, it has to be Jennifer Lawrence.

And now, what’s next for the actor?

My next film is a fun, urban, young movie called Couching Tiger Mannu. It has me playing Mannu, who has only one aim in life and that is to patao a firang. Haha!

Here’s a look at the trailer of the film:

We wish the team of Coffee Bloom all the very best for their film. Don’t forget to catch it in theatres near you on the 6th of March!
