Actors Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta are taking over the stage. Yes, the two are coming together for a play titled Mera Woh Matlab Nahin Tha, written and directed by Rakesh Bedi. Kher and Gupta will be displaying their brilliant acting prowess live on stage.
This will be a story set in Lodhi Garden, New Delhi. A story about two lovers who drifted apart only to meet each other 35 years later. That’s when they try to find a reason behind their separation. Many might see the story line as a love story, but what it really talks about is relationships, misunderstandings and our awkwardness in dealing with the truth – a concept everyone can relate to in some sphere of their lives. The play makes you think about how a person who once meant the world to you can become a stranger or an acquaintance over time.
The two hour long Hindi play promises a blend of humour, wit and emotions – a drama, comedy and thriller – all in one!
The play takes place on Sunday, March 8th at 7 p.m. at NCPA.
