Team MissMalini had a blast attending shows, hanging out with Manish Malhotra, and chilling like villains at the fabulous blogger’s apartment at Lakmé Fashion Week yesterday. And we’re all set for day 2. While, attendance does require a lot running around (our fashion blogger, Anuskha Mulchandani put it really well: “Working out? Haven’t you heard of fashion week?!“), we can’t complain because, I mean… we have the best jobs in the world!

Day 1 saw Manish Malhotra’s blue runway in partnership with the WEvolve campaign aimed at reducing gender violence. Hollywood fashionista and Bond girl, Rosario Dawson, was in attendance to support the campaign. Rosario and a whole bunch of celebrities showed up wearing Manish Malhotra designs to support the new collection. The show, held offsite, at the Great Eastern Home showcased floral embroidery, fitted tailoring, and statement pieces that can be worn together or as separates. We loved how this collection can transition from ethnic to western in no time! Stay tuned for a full review.

Day 1 also consisted of some easy, breezy resort wear fashion by Sailex with Vani Kapoor as the showstopper. We also saw some amazing, light and flow-y fabrics at Verb by Pallavi Singhee. Huemn gave us sporty chic summer style and Krishna Mehta designed some beautiful boho-inspired thread work. Check the looks out!
