The last time Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan collaborated, we got the hugely successful Chennai Express. So naturally, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding Dilwale, their second collaboration as producers. You could even say that there’s a lot more excitement surrounding this film, since the ensemble cast is something dreams are made of. SRK and Kajol will be reuniting on screen after years (something every Bollywood buff has looked forward to), and they’ll be supported by some amazing veterans as well as some of the industry’s hottest young talent. The full star cast includes Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan, Varun Sharma, Boman Irani, Vinod Khanna, Kabir Bedi, Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, Chetna Pandey, Mukesh Tiwari and Murli Sharma.
The great news is that their first official day was yesterday, 20th March, and it turned out to be an all-boy affair – the two Varuns, Johnny Lever and Sanjay Mishra started shooting for the film. The rest of the cast is due to join them soon, and we can’t wait for more pictures from the sets!
Dilwale is directed by Rohit Shetty, written by Sajid Farhad, features music by Pritam and cinematography by Dudley. The film is slated to release Christmas 2015. We’re already excited!
