There are many Aamir Khan loyalists who heart the superstar for being the perfectionist that he is. Also, his impressive filmography has won him a plethora of fans over the years. However, a while ago, the actor managed to gain a lot of haters when he expressed his opinion on the AIB Roast and said some not-so-good things about the show.
And Mr. Khan has once again made a statement that could have rubbed some people the wrong way. That’s because he recently spoke not-too-highly about his own industry. However, no one was offended this time, as his statements made a lot of sense and should definitely be taken into consideration by the Bollywood fraternity.
He has complained how a whopping 80 per cent of children are forced to watch the content that is not designed for them only because of the kind of cinema being made in Bollywood lately. He also asserted how it’s a ‘scary’ situation.
If you look at our children’s content, it’s almost negligible, and the little that I see is very scary… It scares me to see the kind of children’s content they are making. We as a creative industry or media have a huge opportunity in front of us. Huge opportunity in building the nation with how we make children perceive what is honesty. Today, unfortunately, we are in a time where dishonesty is looked upon. How do we bring in a quality that people can admire?
Well, Aamir definitely makes a valid point here. Considering he has given us the one of the most celebrated Bollywood films for children, Taare Zameen Par, his opinion on this subject should definitely be taken seriously.
