Here comes another misogynist accusation against Instagram! It’s no new news that Instagram has been banning “offensive” pictures for quite sometime now. Its actions have managed to stir major social outrage but no outrage has resulted in amending the ‘rules’ of the social forum.
Recently, when Rupi Kaur uploaded a picture of her period stain that she got while sleeping, Instagram took it down because it didn’t follow their “community guidelines”. Not once, but twice! She then uploaded the same image along with a message for Instagram on Facebook.
Patriarchy is leaking, misogyny is leaking… WE NEED CHANGE!
