The news of Shahid Kapoor‘s engagement is definitely one of the biggest this year yet. While fan-girls all over the world were hyperventilating (check out some Twitter reactions here!), the more optimistic ones were waiting for Shahid to come out and deny the whole thing. Sadly though, Shahid’s announcement about his wedding plans left the ladies heartbroken.
Here are 5 things he said that will leave every Shahid fan with mixed emotions – because you want to be happy that he’s found love, but you can’t help but feel betrayed that he’s now taken!

1. On his engagement
I am not engaged but what you’ve been reading about is kind of true. Marriage is on the cards sometimes towards the end of the year. I think that’s all I’ll say about that.
2. Mum is the word
I’ll refrain from getting into details. I hope you’ll respect that.
3. Media savvy
I thought it was important for me to acknowledge this in front of the media, so I’m doing that.
4. He is just like us… Normal!
She’s a normal girl and I’m a normal guy, and we should treat it as something that’s normal and regular.
5. Private & Confidential
It’s my personal space so I won’t get into the details of that. But, I am very happy to announce it to everyone.
