Music maven Jay Z‘s going to be launching a streaming service, Tidal. We all know that Beyoncé‘s better half has some really cool friends. Now what’s even better than just hanging with your really cool friends, is when they come together to create a wave of epicness (I know that’s not a word, but guys this is huge!). On Tuesday, the rapper announced his plans for a new direction in the music industry. With artist such like Rihanna, Coldplay, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Usher, Jack White, Daft Punk and wifey Beyoncé, Jay Z went hard on this amaze collaboration. Check this video that gave me legit goosebumps!

Targeted at the escalating battle over streaming music, this service is hinted at the possibility of artists releasing exclusive content through this platform. After signing a “declaration”, these huge names in the music industry are also co-owners of this service. With high-definition video and audio, Tidal attempts at making history.

Now with a positive always comes a negative, it’s a yin yang kinda effect. Some artist feel that music is an art and shouldn’t be available for free, so at a price of $10 a month, purchasing music will be available in 31 countries. Erm, not everyone seems too happy about that.
