While Detective Byomkesh Bakshy has turned out to be a ‘thanda‘ outing at the box-office, things have started heating up a little with the arrival of Ek Paheli Leela. The Sunny Leone-starrer has been promoted quite extensively and that has ensured good awareness. This flick might not to be getting thunderous response but compared to some of the recent films, Ek Paheli Leela is faring fairly better.
Sunny’s Jism 2 as well as Ragini MMS 2 had seen a very good opening at the box-office with the first day of around 8 crores each. Though Ek Paheli Leela won’t match these high numbers, it would still get around 5-6 crore, which would still be good, considering its cost of a mere 15 crore (making – 9 crore, P&A – 6 crore). Since the film is seeing a very good release for itself, it is expected sail through.
On the other hand, Dharam Sankat Mein is set to boast of some good performances, considering Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah and Anu Kapoor are leading the show. Its promo is interesting too but surprisingly the buzz hasn’t really reached an optimal level. Unlike an OMG! Oh My God, the film doesn’t have the star power of Akshay Kumar, to push it through either. Hence, from the opening standpoint, there isn’t much in the offering. It would have to rely very heavily on word of mouth to leave a mark.
