A few days ago, I was at the L’Oreal event where I caught up with Katrina Kaif. My very first time with this beautiful and flawless leading lady. I chatted with the actress and this what she had to say! Psst, I also got all the answers to your twitter questions – read on! 🙂
1) A quick make up tip!
There’s no quickie rule! It takes time, even if you’re late – an hour late. If it’s reaaally important, then you just have to move fast. Tying up your hair is a good time saver or a quick braid – a braid on the side. Actually, that’s a great time to use a pop of colour, it makes it look like you’ve done something. A good mascara and a good lip colour is good for me!
2) Her secret to such lovely skin…
I do things that most girls know about. Something you’ll find in beauty magazines. One thing I do is drink A LOT of water. That is something I am very particular about – that I see a lot of people NOT do! I drink at least 3-4 litres a day. Also, a “sensible” diet. I try to stick to 5-days sensible healthy eating. Then the other days just eat what you want. 2 cheat days.
3) What’s next in Bollywood?
I’m working on three films simultaneously! It’s kind of frustrating actually because people think you’ve been away for a while – people think you’re taking it easy but actually, you’re working harder than ever before. I hope all three release this year – Phantom, Jagga Jasoos and Fitoor (for which I have coloured my hair!)
4) On her jazzy new hair colour.
It’s not like I needed convincing to colour my hair. I was like really excited. When they coloured it and it was dry and I was like ‘WOW, I love it, it’s so fun!’ Now after 4 months I’m kind of like… ‘aah, I wouldn’t mind my hair black again!’ So, I think it’s fun to do.
5) Thoughts about getting on social media?
I’m still trying to get my head around it. The main thing for me which is interesting about it is the opportunity to take pictures. I really like taking pictures. With all these new phones, you can take such good pictures, that it almost becomes like a hobby.
6) One quality everyone must have in a relationship?
Besides being trustworthy, which is important. I don’t know if it’s a quality, but I think that every guy AND a girl in a relationship should make it a point that they try and make everyday with that person, special. I think everyone has gotten too used to the fact that you know, you’re supposed to take each other for granted. And because we’re supposed to take each other for granted it means that you know this is just life going on and you know next year will be special, next month will be special. Every minute with the one you “supposedly” love, should be special. The attempt should be that.
7) What makes someone truly beautiful?
A person who is confident in themself. A person who is truly at peace with themself. And secure. Not just about being secure in the way you look, a person who knows themself. Those people are always the most attractive people.
