Dastaan TV Show

Zindagi channel on Indian TV garnered lots of viewers ever since it started airing. Fawad Khan’s show Zindagi Gulzar Hai was one of the first shows to gain popularity amongst the Indian audiences. But now, another show of the actor’s hasn’t managed to get such great reviews.

Apparently, Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam, which was originally titled Dastaan when it was aired in Pakistan has irked the BCCC (Broadcast Content Complaints Council) for having ‘Pro-Pakistan’ content. The show is based on Razia Butt’s book, Bano, and is supposed to be a timeless love story set during the India-Pakistan partition where the boy and the girl (Sanam Baloch) are in love but due to the partition, the two have to part ways. The girl gets abducted by a Sikh man who repeatedly rapes her and forces her to change her religion as well. She subsequently has to marry him and have his child.

Such content which has been showing the Sikh and the Hindus in a negative light has now sparked these allegations. What do you guys think about it?
