We’ve been known for trying some pretty weird stuff in the name of beauty: butt facials, anyone? As much as we love experimenting, there are definitely a few trends that make us think twice. I’m counting down some of the strangest (yet, surprisingly effective) beauty treatments available in the market.

1. Bee Venom Facials

A voluntary bee sting? Scary! Bee venom acts to reduce signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles and sagging. Before you write this trend off, consider this – Kate Middleton is a huge fan.

2. Cryotherapy

The path to a hotter body is ice! Cryotherapy treatment involves exposing your body to sub-zero temperatures for about three minutes. The result? A rush of endorphins, cellulite reduction, and lesser wrinkles. Considering the fact that we live in tropical climates and aren’t used to so much cold, this therapy doesn’t seem to be our cup of tea.

3. Caviar creams

Hard-core foodies would cringe at the thought of putting caviar on your face, instead of in your mouth, but caviar creams are all the rage. These ultra-luxurious (and highly expensive!) creams hydrate, lift and tighten skin to give you the skin you were born with.

Clearly the world of beauty loves to experiment. Comment and let us know which trend you would be willing to try!
